School system in Australia aims to meet the learning needs of each individual student .
Australian schools are either government or non-government(Private).
Primary school starts from age of 5 to age of 12 and is 6-7 years. The duration of secondary school is 5 to 6 years and covers ages 12 to 18 .
Tuition fees vary from state to state and depend on whether students attend public or Private schools.

Below is a an approximate estimation of the costs :

  • Tuition fee vary from : 6,000 AUD to 15,000 AUD per year.
  • Health insurance cost (OSHC ) Approx : 500 AUD per year
  • Accommodation : 200 AUD to 400 AUD Australian school calendar starts in end of January and ends in late November early December .

There are 4 Terms ( 10 weeks each with two weeks holidays in between) expect the long end of year holidays in an Academic year .

Some private schools provide this option.

Home stay:

This is the most popular option for young students where they stay with an approved host family during their study period. This option allows students to gain access to the Australian lifestyle and practise English in a natural and friendly way.
Meals are usually included in the cost and single or shared rooms may be offered.

Guardian Visa:

some student prefer to travel to Australia with a parent or guardian. Visa subclass 580 allows one of the parents/guardians to stay with the student in Australia until she/he turns 18. Guardian visa holder has no work right and can only study part time English.
